B2: Creative Industry Response

 My Game pitch

Mood board

The groups project started of really slow there was only two of us in when there should be four we started trying to making character models.

We still only had to members of our group in which was me and Corey the programmers were off so we just started making the digital art for the game I was busy trying to find a good model/character for the game that would be easy to animate.

Research

This game is a shooter game you go around and try to escape the guards that are trying to kill you.

These are all the gun selections for the game.

This game is very action packed it has 4 games thing thing 1, thing thing 2, thing thing 3, and thing thing 4.

I took my inspirations from the game called thing thing I liked the way the characters looked so I made a similar design of the characters.

Mood board

This is the first player model design that I made am going to add colors to the model just for testing. I made this in piskel is a good website for animations toby told me about it and I found it hard to use it for the first time but with time I got the hang of it.

This is the version of the model but with color I plan on changing the gun because its pointing down and it would not make sense when the player starts shooting.

We were having trouble trying to get photoshop working on the pc's most of them didn't work so our work was delayed a bit we were trying to find others ways to get our work done.

Trello

My teacher Toby told me a website that was an easy to to make sprites, animation and pixel characters it was called piskel its kind of like a free photoshop it took me some time to get used to it but after i got used to it my work was very good.
After I was done making the plane character I made hands and made some gun models it took me a few tries to make the gun look the way I wanted it to look i think it turned out well all I needed to start on was the animation and Corey was making the background for the game.

This is dummy model this is for Dean to use and test while programming also I learned how to make walking animation, jump and idle.

This is the bullet that I made for shooting I had to make it long because when the player is shooting the built will become blurry and its going to be very quick so I need it to be long so the player can see where the bullets are going.

Here are the two frames for the shooting when the player pulls the trigger it will which to the second frame and shoot the bullet.

This was my first attempt on making a walk animation and not really great at animation
but this one could be better so am going to make a better one.

As you can see I removed the hand in the walk animation because the hand will be separate when it comes to do the coding bit because the player will be able to move the hand with the mouse. as you can see the walk animation is really bad that why am going to do a better one.

This is the updated walking animation I think it looks way better than the first one I did. I plan on removing the gun and the hand from the animation because it doesn't need to be there.

   White Team color
Blue Team color

Green Team color

Red team color

These are all the different colors you can be in the game the animation its doing is jumping I plan on adding the all colors to the other animations that I have done it might take a bit longer because I have t color each fame one at a time but I think the team colors look really nice.

This is the same walking animation but I done it on Photoshop its smother than the first GIF I had made.

At this point I was done with the detail of the character and Corey was done with the background for the game dean was doing coding at home when he was not in and I was mostly done with all the animations all we had to do is put in the game and test to see if the character/animation worked.

Level ideas

Me and Toby were making some level ideas for the game because I was going to make a tile map but most of the computers didn't have photoshop so I don't think I will be able to make it.

At the start of the final project I was slowed down by the fact that some of the computers in the rooms that I was working in didn't have photoshop or photoshop didn't when I started to make my animation for the first time there was a lot of fails like the frames didn't look smooth or the walking/running didn't look right. But after like 3 tries it final looked the way I wanted it to look they colouring process was really tedious I had to go back to every single frame and colour it multiple times it was hard to do this but man it was really tedious I had to make 4 different team colours for the game I think the easiest thing I made was the shooting animation because its was only to frames and I didn't really need to put much detail to the hands and gun.

Overall I think we did well as a team Dean did very well in the coding parts My character animation could have been better but am not that great at animation in general Corey good for the map and background of the game we did have a very slow start at first but we managed to put a lot of work at the end of the few weeks we had left I think we could have done more if we didn't run into any problems like some of our team not being in or photoshop just not working on some computers but overall I think we did good for this project.
